Manager of Finance

Our client, a global technology company, is looking for a Manager of Finance. This is a challenging role that is to provide the Manager of Finance with the opportunity to exercise professional judgment while working within and helping to maintain a friendly and positive work environment. In particular, the role of Manager of Finance will develop a strong candidate's technical accounting skills as well as his/her supervisory skills.

Reporting to the Controller, the Manager of Finance will assume responsibility for the preparation of regular corporate reports, the management of the monthly close, cash flow management and forecasting as well as reporting on inter-company transactions. The Manager of Finance is also to deal with foreign currency and handle revenue recognition issues relating to projects. The company is looking for an individual to develop and mentor staff and bring direction and focus to the team.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate to assume the role of Manager of Finance will be a Chartered Management Accountant with 3 or more years of post-designation experience including strong technical accounting knowledge combined with an open door philosophy with respect to coaching and mentoring a team of 5+ staff. The Manager of Finance is to be a hands-on type, willing to roll up their sleeves and be highly proficient in managing not only their own responsibilities but also those of their staff, while yet not overly managing the team.
