Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a large home building company, is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to its expanding Calgary team. The Senior Financial Analyst is to report directly to the Calgary Division Controller and will assume responsibility for but not be limited to the following:

• Prepare the annual budget and quarterly updated forecasts;
• Process month-end reporting;
• Process monthly & annual accrual entries;
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end and year-end division financial reporting;
• Prepare quarterly expected cost to complete (CCC) and variance analysis or land & building (ECC) reports;
• Prepare and provide analysis for year-end working paper files for division entities;
• Supervisor a group of 2+ accounts payable staff;
• Work closely with the Division Controller on all special projects.

Qualifications:

The ideal Senior Financial Analyst is to have completed a post-secondary Degree (Commerce or Business Administration) in addition to achievement or nearing accreditation as a Chartered Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant. Candidates are to have 2 or more years of experience as a Financial Analyst with experience in the preparation of working paper files related to monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. Strong proficiency in working with Microsoft Word and advanced skill with Microsoft Excel is a definite asset.
