Located to the Ottawa East End, our client offers an exceptional opportunity for controllership type who is keen to join a family run environment that operates with the support of a large entity behind it.

Joining this organization in the role of Controller, the incumbent will spend the initial 6 months learning the complex nature of its secure and profitable business while contributing to the finance and operation al side of the business. He/she will be included as part of the management team and will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to understand and prepare government remittances as well as to deal with credit schedules. The Controller will be required to oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as to assume the daily cash position for CAN and US accounts. He/she will be involved with the preparation of financial statements, year-end working papers, and financial reports for corporate office and will be in charge to oversee the payroll and all daily accounting. There will be opportunity to participate in various special project works.

Qualifications:

Candidates to meet consideration for this full-time controllership opportunity will be designated as a Chartered Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant and will have 10 or more years of progressive accounting experience. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to oversee both accounting as well as operations combined with a strong desire to learn the business and to excel.
