Chief Financial Officer

· Location: Ottawa, Ontario

· Status: Contract (6 Months)

· Contract Pay Rate: Commensurate with Experience

Located in Ottawa, our client requires the services of a senior finance professional to fulfill an interim opportunity as Chief Financial Officer.

Assuming this senior position, the consultant will assume responsibility for all aspects of the Accounting and IT departments and for all financial information transfer (Canada & USA) to the Division Management and the Group Management for all business units. The Chief Financial Officer will play an important role within the Management Team, contributing directly to the achievement of overall strategies of the company. Specific areas of focus will include:

• Financial planning and analysis.
• Develop financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance indicators.
• Ensure adequate financial control over revenue, expense, working capital, and capital expenditures, performing a strategic advisory function across all areas concerning financial aspects of the business.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and co-ordinate annual audit.
• Manage accounting personnel.
• Develop and maintain product standard costs.
• Ensure accuracy for inventory valuation.
• Control inventory count.

Qualifications:

The consultant to fulfill this interim opportunity as Chief Financial Officer will be a Chartered Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant with 7 or more years of accounting / financial analysis experience including manufacturing / operations analysis. Knowledge of international GAAP, foreign currency, and financial consolidations. Excellent knowledge of SAP and in general of PC systems is a must. Excellent supervisory skills are desired.
