CIMA Cricket Tournament 2003

The fourth annual CIMA Cricket tournament was held at the Glendon College Cricket grounds on Saturday July 12th, 2003. The event attracted a record attendance as the Cricket tournament became very popular among CIMA and ACCA member families. The 2003 event was generously sponsored by Scotiabank and enabled CIMA Canada to provide a great day of lovely cricket, entertainment for kids, food and fun on a gorgeous mid summer day in Toronto. Mr. Mano Thillainathan of Scotiabank and Former Toronto Mayor Barbara Hall were the chief guests at this occasion. The highlight of the day's cricket was the stunning defeat of the the three time CIMA Champion M & M Cricket club by the Toronto Cityhall Cricket club in a preliminary round match. Chasing 78 runs for victory in 6 overs, Cityhall Cricket Club scraped through to victory with a single in the last ball of the last over. M & M however had the last laugh when CIMA conceded defeat at the championship final against M & M, enabing M & M to become CIMA Champs for the fourth consecutive year.
