Annual Cricket event of 2005 was a great success. The event was attended by CIMA President Ian Christison and Vice President Gordon Grant. Organized under the theme "A Celebration of Cricket", CIMA Canada promoted a unique Cricket encounter between the City of Toronto and the Toronto Police Services for the CIMA Canada Mayor's Trophy. Participation of Toronto Mayor David Miller and Police Chief Bill Blair in the actual cricket actionattracted immense media attention.

This year's event was generously sponsored by Bell Canada. CIMA, ACCA, City of Toronto, Toronto Police and St.George's Society took part in the tournament. The day's events started off with Bell Canada Junior tournamentfor Under 12 and Under 17 age groups. CIMA President Ian Christison,
Vice President Gordon Grant, Mayor Miller and Chief Bill Blair then joined the awards ceremony for youngsters. Mayor Miller declared this event as an official annual celebration of Cricket in the City, providing CIMA Canada with a great platform to launch a campaign to raise the awareness of the CIMA qualification.

 


Toronto Police services won the inaugural CIMA Canada Mayor's trophy.
