Our client, a C.A. firm with offices in Toronto and Southwestern Ontario, is looking for a U.S. Tax Manager or U.S. Senior Tax Manager for their firm.
In this role, you will be responsible for dealing with multi-national companies with their U.S. corporate tax planning and reporting issues.

Tax Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing
Transfer Pricing has become one of the most contentious issues facing multinational corporations. It involves cross-border intercompany transactions involving goods, services, and intangibles. The active enforcement of Canadian transfer pricing legislation and the increasing trend toward globalization has forced multijurisdictional companies to turn their attention to their global transfer pricing policies.

The Opportunity:
Our client, a C.A. firm located in Toronto, is looking for a Tax Senior Manager of Transfer Pricing.
As a lead member you will work closely with company staff on tax planning initiatives and requirements. Your organizational skills will enable you to direct the work of junior staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will research and prepare tax-planning strategies for our clients and take the lead on the preparation of tax returns. Commodity Tax Manager/Senior Manager

YOUR ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support for commodity tax issues within the region
Offers commodity tax planning services to clients Deals with Canada Revenue Agency and relevant provincial ministries client issues
Research commodity tax issues and prepare memorandum
Review client’s GST procedures for Audit purposes
Assistance in voluntary disclosure

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES INCLUDE:
Sound technical knowledge of Commodity Tax related issues
Ability to manage client relationships
Motivated and diligent in maintaining current technical knowledge in the area of Commodity Tax
Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
Strong communication skills (oral and written)
Good computer skills with experience in MS Office, Caseware / Caseview and TaxPrep

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Qualified CA, CGA or CMA with successful completion of the CICA GST In-depth Tax Course (level I & II at a minimum)
Completion of CICA PST In-depth Tax course would be an asset.
Minimum of 2-3 years of commodity tax experienc
Experience in consulting in real estate transactions would be an asset.

Accounting Clerk - Full Time hours 15 month contract position
Hours 40 hour week
Wage / Salary $32,000.00 / ann
Description The Accounting Clerk will perform a variety of administrative duties to support the office Accountant
Responsible for general A/P & A/R processing and reporting along with clerical duties of a general nature according to company procedures
Main Duties

Will include some or all of the following duties:

Data entry and maintenance of accounting systems

  Accounts Payable Management: Post Supplier invoices into main accounting system
Issue cheques against due date payments
Prepare payments against bank document collection
Credit Card reconciliations and payments
Maintain branch office expenses and reconciliations
Maintain accurate A/P records
Generate A/P reports for senior management
  Accounts Receivable Management: Prepare Customer invoices and post to main accounting system
Send customer invoices to appropriate persons
Collect and maintain company Receivables
Generate A/R reports for senior management
Bank reconciliation
GST filing
  Reporting as indicated by senior management
  Document filing and record keeping
Qualifications Post Secondary School Education is required
Experience in a related field is an asset
Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft programs is required (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and related accounting software
Skills Required Candidate must be personable, reliabel, punctual, neat and organized
Excellent organizational skills are key to keeping up with this fast paced office environment
Strong telecommunication skills and computer etiquette is essential
